AOBA Honors Distinguished Industry “Servant Leaders”

AOBA held its 2019 Annual Meeting Luncheon at the Mayflower Hotel on January 17, 2019. The organization remains positioned to excel in an ever-challenging administrative and regulatory environment, but it renewed its focus on engaging more members while revisiting a core value- honoring accomplished “servant leaders” in the industry.

The luncheon served as a perfect platform to present the Emerging Leaders Council to the region. The thirty-plus members of this innovative Council were warmly received and deepened their respective networks.

AOBA award meeting

The awards portion of the program was complemented by a series of video presentations on key issues, our foundation work, and the impact of our government affairs team. Attendees also had an opportunity to dialog with AOBA’s incoming President, Jackie Duke of Brookfield Properties, our 2019 Board of Directors and Committee Chairs. “We believe that the future success of our Association depends on engaging more professionals at all levels. This new Council will support AOBA by engaging and educating other newer-to-industry professionals about AOBA’s mission. It will also support efforts to recruit new members, and to coordinate events for AOBA’s emerging leaders.”

Special acknowledgment goes to our 2019 award recipients:
